Abstract: Using Karaoke in music lessons increases the motivation of the students and their interest in the lessons. Creating a karaoke by the music teacher is a proof of his/her digital skills. The students’ interest in karaoke is evidence of their strive to learn. The Karafun Studio program is a karaoke editor. The access is free, the interface is default, the music files are mp3. Working with the program takes four easy steps – downloading, installing, creating and converting. The creation of karaoke is related to the use of audio files, lyrics and its processing. Karaoke provides a visualization of the synchronicity between lyrics and music, a friendly atmosphere in classes and active participation in music performance. Through it the teacher can always fill the lack of song material in the schoolbooks. The digital competencies of the music teacher ensure students’ interest, competence development, skill formation, educate attitude, assessment and self-assessment.
