\nstep of social life learning through English\u201d, \u201cErasmus +\u201d KD. The project partners are the Czech Republic, Spain,
\nLithuania and Turkey. Our fi rst mobility was in the city of Olomouc in the Czech Republic, on Christmas Eve and
\none of our goal was to share tradi ons and customs related to this holiday in Bulgaria and the Czech Republic.
\nBulgarian teachers, together with Czech teachers and pupils together with other par cipa ng countries, made
\nceramic decora on Christmas items, prepared tradi onal dishes for Christmas Eve and Christmas, decorated
\n\u201csurvachka\u201d \u2013 a special tree branch.
\nWe presented a presenta on, prepared by Bulgarian students called \u201cChristmas – a holiday of hope\u201d. Emphasis
\nwas placed on symbols and customs with a marked magical character. All par cipants were impressed by
\nBulgarian ritual breads, the \u201cbadnik\u201d in the fi replace, divina on for health and carolling tradi on as an integral
\npart of the holiday. This holiday is covered in Bulgarian literature classes and with our students we had a special
\nlesson which reproduced the custom of Christmas Eve and Christmas holiday. A great interest was shown to
\n\u201csurvachka\u201d by par cipants students, who under our guidance and using authen c materials brought from Bulgaria,
\ndecorated a special tree branch. Together with students we prepared tradi onal dishes related to the upcoming
\ncelebra on. We cooked a bread with coin, oshav \u2013 dried fruit, stuff ed peppers, sarmi, popcorn. Czech
\npupils prepared their tradi onal Christmas sweets. It was a warm con nuity between two cultures, the par cipants
