Abstract: This publication presents an authorial good pedagogical practice, implemented with children from a IV preparatory group in kindergarten through a project-based and research approach. The practice is aimed at forming initial knowledge about plant growth, developing cognitive activity and stimulating children’s curiosity through observation, experimentation and practical activities. The main problem that the practice is aimed at is overcoming the passive acquisition of knowledge and creating conditions for children’s active participation in the educational process. The author’s element consists of the development of an educational mission in which children pass through a “magic portal to Spring“ and become little researchers and discoverers. As part of a mini-project, they track the germination of a bean seed, keep a growth diary, examine a tulip bulb through a magnifying glass, document their observations with tablets, and plant their own plants on STEM tables. The practice integrates project-based learning, gamification, STEM elements, and digital technologies into a single educational environment. The results show increased motivation for learning, development of research skills, teamwork skills, and the formation of a sustainable attitude towards nature. Children acquire knowledge through experience and discovery, which contributes to more lasting and meaningful learning.
