THE POWER OF PLAY IN KINDERGARTEN –A PATH TO KNOWLEDGE, CREATIVITY AND PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT

Abstract: The game is a leading activity in preschool age and plays an essential role in the overall development of the child. Through play, children explore the world, develop cognitive abilities, communication skills, emotional intelligence and social competence. Modern preschool education increasingly uses play-based approaches as an innovative pedagogical tool that combines learning, creativity and emotional engagement. This article examines the importance of play in kindergarten and its influence on the cognitive, social, emotional and personal development of children. Special attention is given to innovative practices such as STEAM activities, educational missions, role-playing games and interactive learning environments. The study highlights the importance of creating a stimulating educational environment and effective cooperation between kindergarten and family. Play transforms learning into an enjoyable and motivating experience and supports the development of creativity, initiative and teamwork skills in early childhood.
