Abstract: Contemporary foreign language education increasingly focuses on meaningful communication, active participation, and the development of learners’ personal and social competencies rather than on the acquisition of linguistic structures alone. This article explores the potential of modern digital technologies to support the implementation of social-emotional learning in foreign language education. It examines the role of interactive platforms, educational applications, artificial intelligence, virtual reality, digital games, educational robotics, and telecollaborative projects in fostering both language development and social-emotional competencies, including self-awareness, self-management, empathy, collaboration, and responsible decision-making. Research findings indicate that technology-enhanced language learning can increase learners’ motivation and engagement while promoting authentic communication, creative expression, and personalized learning. Digital technologies facilitate interaction, reflection, confidence building, communication, and emotional engagement in the language learning process. However, their effective implementation requires pedagogically appropriate integration, teacher preparation, equitable access to digital resources, and a balance between technological innovation and educational objectives. Overall, digital technologies have considerable potential to transform foreign language classrooms into environments that promote both linguistic competence and social-emotional development.
