Abstract: This article examines the results of a survey conducted among science teachers regarding the development of green competencies within the context of digitally inclusive education for K-12 students (grades 5–12). The questions align with the European Sustainability Competence Framework (GreenComp). Specifically, the study evaluates how effectively teachers leverage various digital resources to formulate environmental problems, visualize anthropogenic and natural impacts on ecological balance, mitigate health risks during chemical and laboratory experiments, and integrate advanced technologies, including artificial intelligence. This study aims to assess the degree of alignment between modern teaching practices and the European Sustainability Competence Framework (GreenComp), while identifying the primary obstacles to their effective application in Bulgarian schools. Comparing the framework with concrete pedagogical practices facilitates the analysis of current constraints and enables the development of methodological solutions aimed at fostering an optimal educational environment for cultivating these student skills.
