LITERARY EDUCATION IN THE LOWER SECONDARY STAGE (5TH, 6TH, AND 7TH GRADE) AS A PREREQUISITE FOR FORMING AND DEVELOPING AN AESTHETIC ATTITUDE TOWARDS VERBAL ART

Abstract: The article looks at literary education in the middle school stage as an important prerequisite for establishing a new stage in the overall system of school literary instruction. This includes a more in-depth theoretical, ideological, and aesthetic approach to literary works, gradually moving away from students’ naive-realistic perception of them, as well as developing the ability to aesthetically perceive the surrounding world and supporting the literary growth of adolescents in general. Fifth grade is key when it comes to mastering the studied theoretical and literary terms, which students already grasp on a higher practical level, and in sixth and seventh grade, alongside the theoretical and literary concepts that require increasingly deeper knowledge both practically and theoretically, a number of other concepts are also included – psychological, moral, historical, socio-economic, and others.
