Abstract: The article will present and analyze extracurricular theatrical activities as an effective educational tool for the development of the child in support of parental strategies for successful upbringing and socialization. In modern society, social representations of parenting are associated not only with the acquisition of knowledge and skills, but also with the formation of values, attitudes and competencies that improve the quality of life and provide in the future an opportunity for the full development of the child’s potential. The role of the parent as an active participant in these processes that influence the creation of an additional favorable environment for the development of the personality will be examined. The focus will be on theatrical activities as an extracurricular activity that supports parents in their relationships with children and is a possible effective parental strategy for successful upbringing.
