APPLICATION OF PROPORTIONS. TABLES AND DIAGRAMS – INTERDISCIPLINARY LESSON IN 6TH GRADE

Abstract: This article presents an interdisciplinary lesson combining mathematics and information technologies, conducted with sixth-grade students. The lesson focuses on the application of proportions and the visualization of data through tables and diagrams created in Microsoft Excel. Through practical, real-life tasks, students reinforce their mathematical understanding by solving proportion problems and translating numerical data into graphical formats. The educational goals extend beyond content mastery to the development of logical thinking, spatial orientation, and digital competence. The lesson design encourages collaboration, critical analysis, creativity, and the ability to interpret and communicate data effectively – skills essential in the digital and data-driven world.
