Abstract: The present article presents a good pedagogical practice involving the implementation of the educational project „Letters from the Village Square“ in interdisciplinary lessons for students from first to fourth grade at First Primary School „St. Cyril and St. Methodius“, Gotse Delchev. The letters, which contain monthly stories about Bulgarian holidays, customs, and rituals, are used as the basis for creating integrated lessons that combine educational content from Bulgarian language and literature, mathematics, civic and homeland studies, technology and entrepreneurship, as well as visual arts.
The focus is placed on fostering respect for traditions and spiritual values through emotionally engaging teaching. The article describes a specific lesson dedicated to the „Wolf Holidays“, in which students participate in reading comprehension, didactic and practical activities related to the celebration, including the creation of collages using pieces of old newspapers. The analysis shows that the use of literary texts and authentic cultural content in the learning process encourages creativity, develops fine motor skills, and increases motivation for learning. The model offers an effective approach for integrating traditional cultural values into modern primary education.

Keywords: letters from the village square, customs, rituals, holidays.
