Abstract: This article presents a good pedagogical practice—an innovative literature lesson for 6th-grade students based on the short story „Seraphim“ by Yordan Yovkov, focused on cultivating students’ values such as kindness, compassion, and helping others. Through a variety of interactive methods—discussion, a thematic crossword puzzle, digital educational games, a creative task, and the recitation of an original poem—students develop skills in literary analysis, critical thinking, and personal interpretation. The practice aligns with the key competencies outlined in the national curriculum and aims to engage students actively in the learning process by encouraging emotional and meaningful experiences with the text. The lesson offers a successful model for integrating traditional literary values with modern teaching approaches.
