HЕALTH EDUCATION IN STEAM CONDITIONS FOR 5- YEAR OLD-CHIDREN

Abstract: Health education is aimed at developing skills for creating a healthy lifestyle and adapting to health-promoting behavior. It is inextricably linked to healthy eating and sports. Nutrition is a major factor determining the health, growth and development of children. In early childhood, attitudes towards taste for certain foods are cultivated, and eating habits are built. This paper presents good pedagogical practice in which the STEM/STEAM approach is applied in activities in the educational field of „Mathematics“ for the development of critical thinking and proper orientation in the environment. Its integrative relationship with other educational fields builds on children’s knowledge, skills and relationships in a healthy and supportive educational environment for „learning through play“ and „learning through experience“. The application of modern educational resources enriches the visual, communicative, social and mathematical competencies of children related to health education. The unlimited possibilities of the STEM/STEAM approach will enrich the opportunities for building on children’s development through play, doing and experiencing.
