„LET’S MAKE THE WORLD CLEANER AND BETTER!“ – EDUCATIONAL INITIATIVES FOR ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION IN KINDERGARTEN

Abstract: The discussed pedagogical practice presents the implementation of an educational project titled „Let’s Make the World Cleaner and Better!“. The main goal of this educational project is to provide children with accessible knowledge about nature, to develop their responsibility towards the environment, and to encourage active actions for its protection. The project includes four key aspects of environmental education: Cognitive aspects – Understanding both living and non-living nature and the rules of environmental behavior. Moral aspects – Recognizing nature as a valuable asset and developing moral motivations for its conservation. Aesthetic aspects – Developing the ability to perceive the beauty of nature and express it through creative activities. Practical aspects – Implementing real-world activities focused on environmental protection and sustainable use of natural resources. Environmental education in kindergarten is not just a part of the educational process but an essential foundation for shaping future responsible citizens who care about cleanliness and ecological balance. Through a systematic approach and collaborative activities between children, parents, and teachers, this project contributes to building environmental awareness from an early age.
