MODEL FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS OF STUDENTS IN PRIMARY SCHOOL AGE (4TH GRADE) WHEN WORKING WITH LYRICAL WORKS

Abstract: The article presents a sample model that includes various activities and tasks, tailored to the agespecific characteristics of students in primary school, with different methodological aspects in teaching Bulgarian language and literature in the initial stage of education, as well as with the tools, methods, and techniques of children’s literature (specifically – children’s lyric poetry) and their application in the specific methodological ideas contained in the model. The described activities lead to a higher degree of development of knowledge and skills of young students in their work with lyrical works and, more specifically, in perceiving and interpreting poetic texts in the context of teaching Bulgarian language and literature. The accessible and understandable tasks contained in each of the activities would also aid in enhancing their reading culture, aesthetic perception of the surrounding world, and their development as truly successful individuals in the future.
