HISTORICAL DEVELOPMENT AND GOALS OF STEM EDUCATION: ADVANTAGES AND CHALLENGES IN ITS IMPLEMENTATION IN PRIMARY EDUCATION

Abstract: This article explores the historical evolution and strategic goals of STEM education, with a specific focus on its integration into primary school settings. The research presents a synthesis of key historical milestones that have shaped the emergence of STEM. The article also critically examines the advantages and challenges of applying STEM in primary education, including issues related to teacher preparedness, instructional design, and access to appropriate learning environments. The proposed pedagogical perspective aims to support effective integration of STEM at the earliest stages of education by fostering student engagement, innovation, and future career orientation.
