FORMS OF PRACTICAL TRAINING FOR STUDENT TEACHERS: OPPORTUNITIES FOR IMPLEMENTING THE MUSIC CURRICULUM IN PRIMARY SCHOOL

Abstract: This study examines the practical training of student teachers in the context of their preparation for delivering the music curriculum in primary school. The focus is placed on the analysis of the regulatory framework governing the professional education of future primary teachers, including components related to music instruction. As part of the research, a pedagogical diagnostic assessment was conducted with students participating in „Internship Practice in Primary School.“ The aim is to identify the actual capabilities of the student teachers in relation to specific methodological skills and music-pedagogical competencies demonstrated during their music lesson presentations. The methods of direct pedagogical observation and expert evaluation were employed to analyze both the quality of instruction and the level of development of the students’ musical abilities.
