Abstract: The article focuses on school climate and its essential importance for the effectiveness of the learning process. The idea is defended that school climate is an important determinant of institutional effectiveness, the quality of academic achievement, motivation, socialization and student behaviour. Formation of a positive climate in any educational institution is a preventive tool for reducing destructive behaviour and improving attendance, academic achievement and satisfaction of students and parents with the school, as well as minimizing all stress-forming factors of the educational process. The article draws attention to the regulatory documents that are aimed at school climate. An attempt is made to clarify the essence of this concept, its meaning and indicators.

Keywords: school climate, student, school, regulatory documents.
