INTEGRATION OF COMPETENCE APPROACH AND USE OF DIGITAL TEHNOLOGIES IN THE TEACHING OF MATEMATICS IN INTERACTION BETWEEN THE THIRD AND FOURTH GROUPS

Abstract: The new technologies give opportunity to the kids and students to be active members of the learning process, which helps them develop important qualities like confidence and responsibility. Thus, today in front of us, the teachers, stands the important task of bringing up the stride in the kids to seek knowledge. The teachers are those that have the mission to realize the change in education by steering the contents to the key competencies by changing the methods and approaches, by encouraging and motovating the students to study. Because even the best lessons and textbooks in the world won’t make them excited about learning unless they are motivated. Working with kids of two diff erent age groups we have noticed their potential staked in mathematical pursuits and decided to further develop and enrich our methods of working with them by not only using standard methods of teaching but also include others that break outdated stereotypes. We combined the traditional methods of work with the so-called innovation methods, priorities of which are the individual and group work of the children. That way we developed the creativity and innovations which are essential characteristics of the competence approach. It, in turn, is based on interactive methods and new learning technologies, which contribute to the development of independence, initiative, creative thinking in children and students. To achieve this, we included in our work the use of an interactive display, a document camera, as well as the creation of original games on the Smart Kids platform.
