Abstract: Digitization and semantic processing of common sense knowledge is one of the most significant tasks related to the development and use of cyber-physical educational platforms. One of the good approaches for semantic modelling of this knowledge is the use of ontologies. Through appropriate structuring, the ontology provides opportunities for automatic generation of questions in the correct Bulgarian language, through which students’ knowledge can be checked and evaluated. The article presents the results of the development and use of an ontology with knowledge of history and literature, which provides an opportunity to generate sentences and questions in grammatically correct Bulgarian. The authors’ experience of using this approach in school education is also shared.
