Abstract: Artificial intelligence as a scientific discipline and as a modern technology is increasingly entering school education. AIEd (Artificial Intelligence in Education) as a new direction in pedagogical sciences examines the issues related to the application of AI in school education, examining and evaluating the possibilities, advantages, and disadvantages of these technologies in achieving global goals in education. Programming training in robotics groups provides a suitable environment for research in this direction. The use of AI chatbots in solving specific programming tasks helps to increase the activity and motivation of students, providing favorable conditions for building a complete multidisciplinary system of knowledge and key digital competencies. The article examines some aspects of using two of the most popular chatbots ChatGPT and Copilot for programming education in school robotics clubs, shares the author’s experience, and discusses some of the benefits and problems of this education.
