INSPECTION AS A TOOL FOR EVALUATION AND IMPROVING THE QUALITY OF EDUCATION

Abstract: The article presents a comparative analysis of the quality of education assessed by the National Inspectorate of Education in schools from the administrative district of Shumen. The research compares the grades received by schools in two periods – during the 2021/2022 academic year and 2023/2024. The demonstrated strengths in the activity of educational institutions are summarized and analyzed, as well as aspects of the educational process, management and institutional environment that need improvement. Based on the research, typical shortcomings in the work of the schools were identified. Conclusions are made about the possible ways and approaches to increase the quality of education, including competence-oriented training, transparent and autonomous management and improvement of the educational environment.
