Abstract: Ecological education is a new direction of preschool pedagogy, which differs from the traditional – familiarization of children with nature. Early childhood is the period of formation of the foundations of the future personality. This is the most suitable moment from which work should begin to create a caring attitude to nature, to its beauty and uniqueness, to our common home. Ecology in kindergarten is not science, but the child’s relationship with nature. However, not all people understand our dependence on the environment, on water, air, soil and biodiversity. Ecology in kindergarten is not science, but the child’s relationship with nature. On the territory of our small villages, the residents face environmental problems, such as air pollution, deforestation and water and soil pollution. For this reason, during the school year, we, the teachers from DG „Kalina Malina“, set ourselves the task of showing the children how important it is to get to know, love and protect their surroundings. Many of them attending the kindergarten have a lower social status and this is of particular importance for their future development. DG „Kalina Malina“ is divided into five groups that are located in different settlements. That’s why, by including the children in the implementation of the activities set in the project, we also unite them into a whole, thus developing a sense of responsibility and teamwork.
