DIMENSIONS OF NON-STANDARDNESS IN THE PROFESSIONAL ACTIVITY OF TEACHERS

Abstract: This study presents the results of a survey conducted among 646 teachers in order to track the dimensions of inconsistency in their professional activity. The research is based on the theoretical assumptions that nonsrandardness is a valuable ability of the modern teacher, as it is a prerequisite for creativity in teacher’s professional activity. Nonstandardness included in the professional profile of the constructivist teacher and helps him/her to be effective in the dynamic educational environment. The empirical model of the study includes the study of four areas of the teacher’s professional activity for which nonstandardness is an important resource. The specified areas are considered in terms of recognized indicators of nonstandardness. The results show both the strengths and weaknesses in the professional activity of the modern teacher from in aspect of the application of non-standard, original and personally oriented approaches in the educational environment.
