Abstract: The purpose of the article is to provide definitions and to review the normative framework related to artificial intelligence and its use into the educational field. Concepts, strategic documents of the European Union, UNESCO, the United Nations, documents at the national level are presented. Summaries and analyses of the challenges that artificial intelligence poses to the educational system have been made.
