Abstract: This report provides an overview of the Ordinance on the Quality of Social Services in Bulgaria, as well as the essence of the Program for the Development of the Quality of Social Services, in the context of the regulatory framework. The concepts of control, monitoring, evaluation of the quality and efficiency of social services, as well as good practices are considered. The Ordinance on the Quality of Social Services defines the standards for the quality of social services; the criteria for fulfilling the quality standards of social services; the basic principles for the development by social service providers of programs for the development of the quality of the social services they provide; the methods for monitoring the quality of social services and the order for control, monitoring and evaluation of the quality and effectiveness of social services. To what extent the new standards and criteria for the quality of social services are known and applied, with a view to their implementation in practice and improvement of interaction with users of social services.
