CONTEMPORARY EXPECTATIONS AND ATTITUDES TOWARDS EXPLANATION, NARRATION AND LECTURE AS TEACHING METHODS – THE STUDENTS’ OPINION

Abstract: The problem about using of Explanation, Narration and Lecture as teaching methods is discussed in this article. Analysis of online survey data collected from students from Faculty of education in Sofia University „St. Kliment Ohridski“ is presented. In the article are revealed the students’ expectations and attitudes towards the most significant characteristics of language and style when it is necessary for teachers to use these methods in contemporary context. Recommendations about higher relevance of Explanation, Narration and Lecture as teaching methods according to the needs and expectations of future teachers are also presented.
