Abstract: On focus are the pedagogical projections in the art of the renowned Bulgarian graphic designer
Stefan Kanchev – an artist with world-wide recognition but little-known in his native country. The artist’s deed
is briefly described and analysed in its entity, certain aspects are highlighted. The key significance of the graphic
design in the system of social communication is also highlighted. The role of the applied graphic exercises in the
educational programme on visual arts in primary schools is emphasized. The possible interdisciplinary relations
in the educational field are studied. The empiric material from the observations during concrete lessons is
systematized.
