Abstract: The following paper describes how the Eco-Schools programme contributes to the fulfilment of
the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). It proposes ways, activities and supportive materials for achieving
the SDGs. The goals aim to end poverty, protect the planet and try to make sure that everyone around the world
is living comfortably. All very important and worthwhile goals to work towards. Each goal has specific targets
for governments to achieve over the next 14 years. In schools, we can help to support the meeting of these
targets in correspondence with the main aims of the new Bulgarian law for preschool and school education
related to Global education principals and build students’ competences for understanding the global processes,
tendencies and interconnections .
