Abstract: The paper presents the main components and an overview of the educational subject „Computing in the education system” in England. It is considered as a classification of the educational key stages by students ages in England. All Computing national programmes, which have to be followed from the schools when they create their own curriculums, have been presented in different age groups. In addition, the paper summarises the changes in the educational system for „Informational Technologies” and „Computer modelling” in primary school in Bulgaria. It includes the key competences for student’s development according to competences approach framework from the Bulgarian Ministry of Education.
