Abstract: The integrated teaching approach gives an opportunity to look at a matter from different angles and present inter-subject correlations at the same time. At one side, an opportunity for a better dialogue among teachers is created and on the other, among students and teachers. Learning Bulgarian language can be viewed not only as a main necessity for students to acquire basic literacy and knowledge of their native language but as a way to revise grammatical and phonetic language structures while acquiring new knowledge in other subjects. The report presents an actual binary lesson in Bulgarian language and Mathematics with second grade students. Using their knowledge in Bulgarian language students get acquainted with a new type of math problems that branch out of the compulsory educational requirements for Mathematics for that grade.
Keywords: binary lesson, math, Bulgarian language
