Abstract: The article examines the possibility of overcoming the lack of reading and writing skills of second grade students. This is accomplished by using a system of tasks and exercises with the help of information technologies. The presented model is experimental. On the basis of the results of the experimental work, conlusions and new ideas for pedagogical practice will be formulated. The language competencies are an important part of the key competencies necessary for the growing generation. The formed language competences in primary school age are crucial for further development of the person. The use of information and internet resources for the creation of a variety of exercises (especially for Bulgarian and literature) is solving many educational issues. It also contributes raising children’s interest in reading.
