Abstract: Moldova is located at the crossroad. In the country very clearly intertwined several cultures: Moldovan, Bulgarian, Gagauz, Ukrainian and Russian. Therefore, we can rightly call Moldova multicultural and multiethnic country. It is hence the need for multicultural upbringing and education. These two aspects of multiethnic societies must take account of national-ethnic differences and include various models of pedagogical orientation that are adequate for the various ethnic and cultural groups. The study of the Bulgarian language in the country is carried out in parallel with the Moldovan and Russian, which supports the integration of children from an early age. The gradual transition of mother tongue education is a basic idea in the concept of education of ethnic Bulgarian children in the country.

Keywords: bulgarian language, bulgarian diaspora, pre-school age
