CYBER-DEPENDENCE OF THE MODERN CHILD THROUGH THE TEACHER’S EYES

Abstract: This article shows the teacher’s view about cyber-dependence of a modern child and its behavior in the classroom. The issue is extremely relevant in the context of the 21st century, when information technologies are not only a fact but a necessity, and they are actively involved in children’s lives. Using the term „cyberdependency“ it refers to the state in which the child overuse information technologies and Internet to such an extent that IT do not fulfill their intended purpose but only serve for gaming and escape from reality.

The feeling is not so much like joy of staying on-line as with boredom and tense when the child is „out of the game.“ A study was conducted. 50 pedagogical specialists from different schools and towns were interviewed, most of whom have got a long experience in working with primary school children. The analysis of the results obtained makes it possible to draw particular conclusions.
