School Television “Youth” – the Forum and the TV Theater in Education

Abstract: One year ago at the First St. Cyril and St. Methodius School in Gotse Delchev the club of school television “Youth” was launched. Because of the active work of the small reporters three news feeds, the forum “You Are Going”, and a film about Christmas holidays in our school were broadcasted. During the school year 2017 – 2018, the training of young journalists went to a higher level. They learned the essence of the forum as a mean of expressing and defending a personal position. They felt the power of the television theatre in building and preserving national self-consciousness. A screenplay for a television theatre based on Ivan Vazov’s novel “Under the Yoke” was developed and implemented. Students created the scenery, the stage design, the wardrobe and the makeup of the participants. The paper presents author’s experience. Some conclusions are formulated.
