Abstract: The development of today’s children takes place today in an extremely dynamic environment,
fi lled with a lot of informa on and provided with a variety of technological means. The teacher should be familiar
with innova ve forms of learning to s mulate and support child’s curiosity and mo vate the student to engage
in ac ve communica ve ac vity both in the learning process and in society.
This ar cle presets author’s experience from implementa on of “Your Hour” project work. This project offers
a rich opportunity for choosing forms and methods to provoke students’ research and crea ve poten al.
Students from the fi h grade of First Primary School „St. St. Cyril and Methodius”, Gotse Delchev, chose the
challenge of journalism as a means of expressing their self. They joined the School Television School. The Club’s
work is based on ac ve learning, with students preparing for their own work, preparing editorial staff s, and taking
responsibility for preparing a news release. The aim is to develop research skills, teamwork, observability,
crea ve thinking, skills to extract informa on from diff erent sources and, most importantly, com munica on
skills. The work of the Club takes place in the following stages: organiza onal, opera onal, and produc ve stage.
As a result of the ac ve work of the small journalists First St. Cyril and St. Methodius Primary School in Gotse
Delchev has its Youth Television School, which broadcasts a news feed and the rubric “You are on the move”.
