Abstract: This report focuses on the specifics of early foreign language learning with children from a multicultural
ethnic environment. The observation is carried out on adolescents of Roma and ethnic Bulgarian origin. To gain a
clearer picture of the efficacy of these methods, identical pedagogical situations were made in groups, in different
age and ethnic communities. Emphasis is placed on the methods and means used in practice to achieve a positive
results. The training of children in the age group 5-7 years old has the task of forming basic communicative skills. In
our practice we refer to the following activities – interactive entertaining games, learning by action, the Montessori
method and others. The main reason for our approaches and methods of work is the fact that children learn
through direct experience of the five senses. The production and use of multimedia presentations, interactive
board work, song videos, talking flash games, role-playing games, guided play games or associations are part of
the innovative methods that have been used successfully to deliver the pedagogical situation.Learning through
play eliminates stress and creates creativity in adolescents. With the use of gaming methods, children learn the
language without putting it as a primary goal, it becomes a means of communication. As a result of the applied
methods at the end of the school year, the results achieved in all monitored groups were high, demonstrating
the efficacy of the innovative methods used.
