Abstract: The research addresses the ideas of the Austrian psychotherapist Viktor Frankl (1905-1997) and
the logotherapy (from logos ‘meaning’) school he established. Logotherapy is an existen al school in psychotherapy,
which opposes Z. Freud’s phsychoanalysis. In the context of the problem under discussion, the seminal
concept is the ‘will for meaning’ at school and the necessity for students to overcome the ‘existen al void’
of postmodern mes related to the loss of values. The empirical study is an a empt to answer the ques on why
and when the meaning of educa on in Bulgarian schools comes to be denuded of its true content. Frankl’s ideas
related to the meaning a future life realiza on of children and adolescent can be regarded as a humanis c pedagogical
cause. In its expanded form it is a future logopedagogy. The didac c orienta on of the paper also comprises
students’ existen al experiences in search of answers for the meaning of learning.
